Once the device has run for the time set it will automatically shut off. You can then switch of and unplug it, and return the lamp arm to its storage position. Simple as that.

It depends on room size and what exactly you want to eradicate. Bacteria and viruses take lesser time while Fungus and/or Mold require more time. As a general rule, you need to run the INRUCA UV-C sterilizer for 30 minutes for a 10' x 10' room if you want to target bacteria and viruses.
